As ITV’s costume drama, Downton Abbey returns to television screens for another season with episodes set in the 1920s, there is increasing interest in Art Deco jewellery. It is very much in fashion again. Chelsea-based TV jewellery expert Ian Towning says, “Whilst characters in the series wear some fabulous necklaces and earrings of the period, well beyond the price-range of most people, fortunately there are many modestly priced fine Art Deco pieces to be found.” Ian has a large stock of keenly priced Art Deco earrings, necklaces, pendants and brooches at Bourbon Hanby Arcade, opposite Chelsea Old Town Hall, King’s Road, Chelsea open Monday to Saturday. Call in or telephone him on 0207 352 2016.
