Members of the UK’s two national antiques dealers’ associations, the BADA and LAPADA,| participating in their annual business surveys appear optimistic about the coming year. Although only represensting a minority of UK fine art and antiques dealers drawn from the upper and middle market of the Trade, these surveys confirm well-established trends. Shops, galleries and fairs continue to be the main places of dealers contact with customers, Americans are the largest group of overseas buyers and the internet attracts growing interest.
